Part IX: The Contract What had he done to get here? How had he deserved this? The water rose, licking at his ankles now. He knew he could not break these chains by his own accord. His wrists and ankles were raw and torn from trying. His will had left him, until he remembered. The amulet. He still clutched it as if it meant his life in his right hand. He let his hand slacken, and the amulet burst into shadow, encircling all around him. The water was now at his knees. A bright, ghostly girl approached him, her hand drifting slowly atop the water's surface. She giggled.Part IX: The Contract by ~c0rsana
"Get up. There's no way you're giving up now." The girl touched the chains, and they disappeared


Part VII: Dark Trials The two walked silently side by side, the royal guard following closely behind. They took a narrow stone staircase downwards, going deeper and deeper into the ground for what seemed like days. Light was scarce, and shadows danced among the walls against the weak torchlight. Finally they arrived - an inner sanctum of sorts. The only illuminating light came from a small hole in the ceiling, casting moonlight upon the floor of the massive cavern. Part VI: Awakening A bird call sounded in the air. Sweet and crisp, it woke Corsana from his sleep. At his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw a figure, almost glowing in the sunlight, sitting by his bedside. He was loosely bound to the bed, his hands and feet tied with what felt like a strong silk fiber. As the figure came into focus he felt something familiar about her. Something that was vaguely familiar... The amulet! He had it in his hands just moments ago! But this girl... The amulet... They were connected somehow... "Sleep well?" the girl smiled, watching him awaken.
"Where... Where am I?" The Jinlyian weakly spoke, his rasp
